Many guests say that the Shadeland Inn in Indianapolis, USA, is a dump. The hotel is dingy and run down. There are no dining options available nearby. Guests say the area makes them feel unsafe to venture out. The hotel building is falling down. The parking lot looks unsafe. The inside of the hotel is dark, smells of mold and is hot without any air conditioning.

There is a wall-high glass on the front desk that separates the guests from the Check-in staff, which guests say acts as some kind of warning to them. Guests say the staff do not speak clear English and are also unable to hear them clearly through the glass. The staff is extremely slow and the members take their time to find the prior reservations made by the guests on their computers.
