The 3-star Mignon hotel is a charming little hotel in Venice’s Cannaregio district, five minutes’ walk from the Rialto Bridge and even closer to Ca’ D’Oro on the Grand Canal. Featuring decor modelled after 18th Century Venice, this hotel is also just ten minutes’ walk from St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto Markets. All 15 rooms feature classical furnishings, a private bathroom with hairdryer, air conditioning, TV, free Wi-Fi, minibar, safe and direct-dial phone. An apartment is also available. Mignon’s reception is open 24/7, the staff offers visitor information, ticketing and reservation services and luggage storage is available. Mignon was found to be very close to Ca’ D’Oro and its handy waterbus station, while the Rialto Bridge as also just a short walk away. Guests were happy to be in a quiet spot, away from crowds, but also to be in easy walking distance of many attractions and found plenty of good restaurants nearby.
Guest found this hotel to be a charming little place. with clean, nicely decorated rooms, and great air conditioning, while the hotel’s external apartment was found to be large, pleasant and had fantastic lagoon views.
The friendly and helpful staff members were found to give a warm and a genuine welcome, families felt particularly at home, and guests enjoyed the nice little continental breakfast which was served in the garden in good weather.
The lack of lift at Mignon, but presence of a decent array of stairs means those who are travelling with lots of luggage, or who are not so mobile may have a hard time.
