All rooms are non-smoking and are simply decorated and furnished. They have all the practical amenities you’d expect like cable TV, work desks and so on. They even feature a microwave to help you prepare a quick snack. The hotel caters to both business and leisure guests with a business center and meeting rooms for those meeting clients in town and a hot tub and fully equipped fitness center for those seeking relaxation and exercise. A simple continental breakfast is served every morning, but guests have a number of dining options nearby for the other meals. World of Beer is a great spot not only for some craft brews, but also hearty pub grub. Downtown Appleton is three miles to the east.
Guests really loved the location of the hotel, for two reasons. Firstly, it was right opposite a major shopping mall and also near some good restaurants. Guests loved not having to travel far to be able to shop and dine to their heart's content. Motorists also mentioned how fantastic it was to be so close to the interstate.
Most guests felt they had received a very good room rate. Several mentioned not being able to find any other hotel anywhere near their price. Considering the fact that they received a clean room in a good location, they felt they had got something of a bargain.
Guests generally found the staff to be very friendly, and to have the kind of attitude that made them easy to approach when they had a query or issue to discus.
Guests traveling as late as May 2016 mention remodeling taking place in the reception area. While this did not seem to cause any noise in the rooms, it did make moving through the lobby area a bit awkward. Completion date of the work is not known.
Quite a number of guests mentioned that they found their room far too small. They were aware that the word “micro” was in the hotel’s title, but did not think this specifically related to the rooms.
There were quite a number of complaints about the hot tub. Most mentioned that it just didn’t look very clean, making guests reluctant to use it. It was also mentioned that it often failed in a way a hot tub never should… at being hot.
