Too many guests to count mentioned the motel's proximity to the shops, restaurants and bars of Sandy Bay as the thing that most impressed them. They found the location very convenient, since all of their practical needs could be met within easy walking distance.

Many guests highlighted the fact that the motel was created in a repurposed shopping centre. While this may not have sounded like the best idea before seeing it, most guests concluded that the redesign had been thoughtful and had created rooms that were both larger than average and held a bit more of interest than those in purpose built hotels.

Guests really seemed to appreciate both that undercover parking was available onsite, and that there seemed to be more than enough parking bays for all the motel's guests.

Quite a few guests were upset to discover that their particular room did not have a microwave in it, despite the motel's marketing materials stating that all rooms have them. It seems that a minority of rooms do not have one, leaving guests in these rooms no way to quickly heat up a baby's bottle or quick snack.

A curious complaint that came up a number of times was that, since the beds are on castors, if one leant back on the headboard with enough force you could all of a sudden find the bed, and (hopefully) yourself, almost on the other side of the room.

One thing that did bother some guests about the motel design was that the rooms had very little natural light since they all faced the inner courtyard, which was mostly covered.
