This may be your next home away from home. You will most likely enjoy the laid-back feel of the property, and some guests said the condos had a homey feeling to them. Grounds have been said to be very beautiful and well-maintained.
Maui Sunset is situated in the heart of Maui and is close to everything the area has to offer. Many points of interest are within walking distance of the property.
Most guests have enjoyed the beautiful pool; several people also said that the cost of a night's stay at the property was great value considering the area.
People should note that each condo is individually owned. There have been several negative remarks about some of the units being outdated and needing updating in terms of decor and furnishings. Some guests also said the bathrooms in their units were very small.
Though some visitors said staff members were friendly, other guests said front desk staff could not be bothered by their concerns or requests. Service may be hit or miss.
Though limited, there were a couple of other complaints. The pool area can get quite noisy at times, especially when children are present. Other issues guests have cited have included air-conditioning units breaking down and cockroaches roaming around the property and grounds - especially after rainfall. Bugs are to be expected however, given the tropical climate.
