Positive Reviews

positive:

Superb central London location

There's no doubt at all that it was the central location that most impressed guests about the residence. In fact, it was almost certainly the main reason for booking here. Guests mentioned that it was situated in a very central position, right opposite a central Tube station, and also Madame Tussaud's, one of London's most popular attractions.

positive:

Some rooms with great views

The building is 20 something storeys high, so it came as no surprise that guests in rooms higher up in the building raved about the views. They definitely enjoyed having a birds-eye view out over the London rooftops.

positive:

Free use if a kitchen

Quite a number of guests were surprised to discover that they had the use of communal kitchens. They had clearly not been expecting this, and were very happy that they could make their own snacks and light meals, and so save themselves a bit of money on eating out.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Problems with the showers

Several guests reported being unhappy with the showers. Some mentioned that they did not have a proper door, and so caused some flooding of the rest of the bathroom. Others said that they were so small that one tended to hit one's elbows on the walls.

negative:

Too much like dorms for some

The accommodation is of course in a student residence, but it seems that some guests were hoping for a bit more of a luxury experience than the one they received. In the end, the rooms turned out to be typical student rooms - small and featuring very basic furniture and amenities

negative:

Mattresses uncomfortable

There were quite a few complaints about the mattresses, with guests indicating that they were obviously cheap and did not offer much comfort.
