It has two pools (including a beautiful, large lagoon-style pool) and a grotto Jacuzzi, which are relaxing and well maintained. The fitness center is also handy and rarely busy and there is water sport equipment available.
Units are large, clean and comfortable. They are spacious enough for large groups and have all the necessities for a longer stay, including full kitchens for preparing meals and washer/dryers. Certain buildings have better views so do some research on the unit you are renting ahead of time; also, higher units have the most scenic ocean views.
The resort has a marina if you choose to bring your boat, just make sure ahead of time that you are away of the procedure at arrival. There are also boat rentals nearby if you don't have a boat but want to get out on the water for the day.
It isn't clearly advertised that Mariner's Resort Villas & Marina is a privately owned condominium complex, not a hotel. There is limited staff and no front desk so check in is disorganized. Additionally, there is no regular cleaning service. Because units are privately owned, their quality varies; you may or may not end up in a nicely furnished, well maintained rental unit. Also, there is no onsite bar or room service. You should be aware of what the property offers so you aren't disappointed upon arrival.
