Take lunch by the pool at Splashes Pool Bar or visit the Waves Beach Bar for lunch or drinks.  Dinner is served in the Treetops Bar and Grill which features tasty steak and seafood combinations. The hotel is just over a one hour drive from downtown Miami and is a 4.9 miles from Dolphin Cove.

Impressive Grounds

The hotel is set amongst well maintained and established lush tropical gardens. A number of previous guests to the hotel made special comment on this presentation which set the tone for their relaxing tropical vacation.

Great Pool and Bar

A number of guests enjoyed the pool and the poolside bar commenting that whilst the private beach was also an excellent haven to relax, the pool was definitely their favourite area.

Lackluster Housekeeping

Some guests were disappointed at the standard of housekeeping at the hotel. Major bug-bears included lack of daily room cleaning, attention to detail in cleaning the bathroom and the lack of clean towels.

Renovation Needed

A number of guest reviewers mentioned that the resort is in major need of renovation, particularly in the rooms which have seen the ravages of the sea air, where doors are rusted and it is obvious that the balconies have weathered a number of storms.

Beware of critters

Florida keys is known for its heat and humidity and if hotel staff are not on top of their critter control its only takes a small amount of time before critters emerge. Some guests reported on check-in that they noticed they were not the only guests in their room, with little bugs making their home in the room's nooks and crannies.
