Lidiko Heritage House is an iconic and historical 1879, lovingly restored, Sea Side Villa. The villa used to be visited by Statesmen, artists and poets. It was bought by the current owners in 2016 and totally restored and purpose built as a boutique hotel. Lidiko Heritage House is situated in Onrus Beach, approximately 6 km from Hermanus CBD. Set amidts age old Milk wood forests and 100 metres from the Ocean, it is the ideal location for people that want to be slightly away from the hustle and bustle, but close to the sea and everything the Overberg region offers. Although elegant, it has a relaxed atmosphere. You will leave feeling pampered and rested. In order to enjoy a totally relaxed stay, we regrettably do not allow children under the age of 16 years. Lidiko Heritage house offers 5 en-suite rooms. The rooms are fitted with either a King size bed or two twin beds. The Luxury rooms are 35 sq. m, whist the standard rooms are 25 sq.m. All rooms feature a flat screen television, DSTV channels, a room safe, hairdryer, toiletries, fluffy towels and 100% cotton linen. Free Wi-Fi is available through out the property. The Big Room houses the lounge, dining area as well as a fireplace, should it be chilly. The Northern Veranda spills over onto a sparkling swimming pool. Weather permitting, breakfast is served on the Veranda overlooking the pool. Lidiko Heritage House is the ideal venue from where to go for long beach walks, hike amongst the fynbos, take a dip in the ocean, go whale watching, wine tasting or to visit the many excellent restaurants Hermanus has on offer. Guests might however feel they just want to curl up with a book on our Veranda or soak up the sun at the pool. Included in the rate is a full English and Continental breakfast, a fruit basket, complimentary tea and coffee all day, Afternoon Tea as well as a sun downer with wines from our lovely Valley.
