Situated in a fantastic spot, in the heart of the Old Town and also close to the beach, Les Monges Palace Boutique is a sensitively restored property offering modern accommodation and historic charm alike. The rooms are a delightful blend of the traditional and the modern, with lovely Andalausian tilework featured in many rooms. All the modern amenities, from flat screen TV’s to life saving air conditioning are also included Reception staff are available around the clock to assist with a variety of services, including car rental, laundry, luggage storage and much more. A simple breakfast buffet is available from early to late morning. There are too many great dining options in the surrounding Old Town to possibly mention for the other two meals. The two main areas of interest ate the Old Town, with its amazing street life and nightlife, and expansive Postiguet Beach, which is just 400 yards from Les Monges Palace Boutique.
Guests really couldn't have been any happier with the location of the hotel. It was described as being in the heart of the Old Town, so really close to the bars, cafes and restaurants that make the area so popular, but still well within walking distance of the beach. Guests felt they were getting the best of both worlds.
A large number of guests mentioned that the roof terrace was there favourite part of the hotel. It seemed they enjoyed heading up there to enjoy the sun, the sunset or simply the view over the rooftops of the Old Town.
This is a boutique hotel, and guests were happy to report that the designers had lived up to this designation by using a quirky design that they found both interesting and attractive.
Unfortunately, guests discovered that there would be a price to ay for the exceptional central location. This price involved having to endure quite a bit of noise at night from revellers on the streets down below, which was said to carry on till very late indeed.
Guests really didn't think much of the hotel's breakfast. For a start, some were upset that it was not included in their room rate, but even those who did have it included felt that it was hardly worth bothering with, being both uninteresting and sparse.
An extraordinary number of guests reported finding their bathrooms being exceptionally compact, making them difficult to use in comfort.
