Excellent host
Guests only had good things to say about the B&B's host, Bernard. He was said to be the perfect innkeeper - friendly and welcoming, but not intrusive. Guests also found his dog, which lives onsite, to be absolutely adorable.
Located a bit outside the walled city, in the tranquil Montcalm neighbourhood, Le Transit is a small B&B offering classical styled accommodation and a lovely garden terrace. The rooms at Le Transit feature hardwood floors, contain some lovely period features, and have all the amenities you’d expect, and some you may not, like private fireplaces. The bathroom is shared among the rooms. The B&B has a lovely garden terrace which is the perfect place to spend a lazy summer’s afternoon, perhaps reading a book or chatting with other guests. A delicious breakfast consisting of French Toast and other specialties is served every morning. Quebec City is known for its excellent cuisine and the hosts will be happy to offer restaurant recommendation if asked. Le Transit is especially well-placed for those who want to visit the Plains of Abraham, which are just 500 yards away. Old Quebec is approximately a mile from the B&B.

Guests were quite impressed with the restaurants in the immediate area, saying that they offered food just as good as to be found in the more touristed parts of the city, but with a lot more local flavour and atmosphere.
Guests seemed to start the day in fine fashion, saying that Bernard prepared an excellent breakfast for his guests, which was tasty, very well presented and really seemed to set them up for the day.
Quite a number of guests reported that there really wasn't much space available at the B&B for them to use, other than their rooms. While there was a small terrace, it was said that there was no guests lounge or other communal area where guests could sit back, relax and perhaps socialise with other guests.
A number of guests complained that the official check-in time was exceptionally late - well into the late afternoon. It was said that it was not even possible to leave luggage onsite before this time, and that the check out time was quite normal, resulting in some feeling cheated of time they had paid for.
Guests mentioned that there was typically no onsite parking available and that the street parking situation in the neighbourhood typically meant they had to park some distance from the B&B.
