About Hotel Le Charaban

Built on the Via Francigena in the 60s to receive the tourists coming from Great St. Bernard Pass, the 3-star Charaban Hotel was completely restored and expanded in 1992 by the members of two families. The owners are continuously taking care of it and upgrading it with passion and diligence, trying to adapt it to the targets of the current market. One of their goals is to offer their guests the welcoming atmosphere usually given by family run hotels. The hotel is situated on the hill of Aosta, in a residential district, on the road leading to Great St. Bernard Pass. It is only 2 km far from the city centre and not far from the regional hospital. It offers a wonderful view of the highest mountains of Europe: the Grand Combin, the Grivola and the Monte Emilius and it is surrounded by the vineyards and the orchards of the Mont- Cenis. It is the “Institut Agricole” of Aosta (a high school where students learn all about agriculture and farm animals) which takes care of them. This school has an important role also because it produces excellent red and white wines.
