A lovely place for a peaceful seaside retreat.

positive:

One big happy family.

No matter what your reasons are for arriving in Ayr, the owners will make you feel like part of the family. Unlike staying in a company-run hotel, they’ll take the time to make sure you have everything you need and have a vast knowledge of the local area. Feel free to ask them for anything.

positive:

Searching for a coastal getaway in Scotland? While the hotel isn’t on the ocean, you’ll only be a few blocks away. You’ll also be a light stroll from a dozens of local destinations like the Robert Burns Museum, downtown Ayr and scores of dining, shopping and nightlife options.

Negative Reviews

negative:

A couple of concerns about accommodations.

Overall, guests have been thrilled with the Langley Bank Guest House. There have been a few concerns, however, most of them minor. Several guests found the lodgings to be a little dated, mentioned cold rooms or noted that the beds were less comfortable than desired.

negative:

Troubles with Wi-Fi.

One of the few problems noted at the hotel has been the Wi-Fi. If you need a strong signal to communicate with colleagues, friends or family, you may have trouble here. Some guests were unable to connect at all. However, you can also move closer to the signal in the lobby or bring a hot spot.

negative:

Woken by the light.

A handful of guests felt that the morning light broke through the windows a little too intensely. As such, a good pair of blackout curtains would easily fix the problem. Until such point, though, light sensitive sleepers may wish to request rooms away from the sunrise.
