Situated in a fantastic spot, just a half-block from Playa del Carmen’s famous sandy beaches, Hotel Labnah is a charming and truly unique boutique hotel fashioned after the Hotel Labnah ruins. The 33 rooms have a certain understated elegance and have both tile floors and air conditioning to keep you nice and cool, no matter how hot it is outside. The small swimming pool and courtyard garden are perhaps the star attractions at Hotel Labnah, Security and reception staff are on had to keep guest safe and assist with tours, transfers and much more. A decent continental breakfast is served every morning, but the proximity of central Playa del Carman means you’ll be spoiled for choice when it come to the other two meals, with popular Wah Wah Beach Bar, just a couple of minutes walk away. The beach, mere steps away, is perhaps the most popular local attraction. The ferries to Cozumel can be boarded very nearby.
Going by the guest reviews, it seems many guests were in town to enjoy the city's nightlife. To this end, they found the hotel's location to be perfect, since it in the heart of the nightlife district, with many great bars and clubs nearby. Guests also appreciated that they the beach was just a few steps way, so it was no hassle at all to get to it.
Though many did describe it as a fairly simple affair, this clearly did not prevent them from enjoying the continental breakfast the hotel offers every morning. They found it to be tasty and a great start to their day.
Pretty much all of the guests who brought up the question of value for money felt that they had received good value, mainly on account of the low rooms rates, terrific location and cleanliness of the property.
Of course, guests found that the great central location did not come without a cost. They reported that the streets outside were busy and could become quite loud with revellers and traffic, with those in street facing rooms saying they could be heard there.
Guests did not seem at all happy with the Wi-Fi, with some saying that it did not work at all in their rooms, and others saying that even if they got a signal sometimes, the system was both unreliable and slow.
While guests did appreciate having a pool available, many did not like that it was exceptionally small. The pool itself did not really seem suitable for actual swimming and the area around it too small for many to use to stretch out in the sun.
