Clean rooms, friendly staff and reliability, these are the reasons why a good proportion of guests return time after time. Rooms are also generously proportioned.

It's less than half an hour from the mountains, but away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The location is great.

Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a cut above the average with a good choice of hot and cold dishes. The hotel is also pet-friendly; which is fine in an age where ‘freebie' kids could take a few behavioral tips from the family dog!

The property is old, not well maintained and frankly, dirty. The heating system is uncontrollable and in a world of its own ... and there's lots of mold and botched DIY in the bathroom. Not nice.

Pets are fine and it's good that they can be accommodated; BUT, dogs ‘shout' at each other during the night. Also, people traveling without pets can be placed in a pet-friendly room where the stench of previous pet occupants, coupled with the noise problems, makes the visit miserable in the extreme.

Breakfast is a nightmare! The area is packed to the rafters and obviously designed to persuade guests to go and find somewhere else to eat. Also, people having fun don't add to your enjoyment if you are in the adjacent room. Sound insulation is nil!
