Hotel La Quinta Inn By Wyndham Pigeon Forge-Dollywood (Pigeon Forge, USA)

Apart from Dollywood, which is the' main attraction, the area is rich in features that appeal to visitors and they are all within striking distance of the hotel.  You don't need the car to find places to eat as there are several restaurants directly opposite. Incidentally, breakfast here is a pleasant surprise.

Rooms are spacious, very clean and come with all the equipment needed for self-catering - if that is your chosen option. They also benefit from air conditioning and it's noticeable that there's no smell of animals in this pet friendly hotel. They have yet to combat the issue of noisy kids, but that's a world-wide problem.

The people who run the hotel couldn't be more friendly and helpful. They'll gladly come to your room to sort out things like TV queries and they are well attuned to the needs of pets and their owners. Breakfast is good with items replenished as required. The breakfast room, along with all other areas, is spotlessly clean.

Room cleaning is done during the early evening; not the most convenient time for hotel guests! The problem with barking dogs is down to the owners who presumably leave them fretting in a strange environment whilst they go out. It's a pain, though, for everyone else.

It depends where your room is but, if unlucky, the bright lights from the parking area invade the room, even if the blackouts are drawn.

The walls are very thin, so there's a noise problem and the elevator is very slow. *It seems even slower if sharing it with a smelly dog.
