Hotel Del Sol - Pensacola (Pensacola, USA)

This hotel has one of the cheapest weekday prices in the area. A Waffle House and IHop are across the street, it is a walk to shops and a short drive to the beach and other attractions. The hotel is also close to the interstate.

Most of the Inn's rooms are a good size and the pool is clean and very rarely used, making it a quiet spot for guests.

So far, there has been no additional positive opinion expressed by guests at this hotel.

The majority of guests have reported carpets being old and filthy, with the mattresses and couches being stained and damaged. Rooms allegedly smell of urine and mold. The hallways smell like smoke, even outside the non-smoking rooms. Bedbugs were reported by some guests, along with cigarette burn holes in the sheets and bedspreads, if clean linen was provided at all.

Many of the former guests reported they stayed one night only because other hotels were full, plus staff at the Key West Inn refused to refund their money. A number suggested sleeping in a car would be better, however, many also said they felt unsafe in the area. There allegedly appeared to be drug dealers and prostitutes in and outside of the hotel, with police often making arrests.

A number of rooms had lamps or televisions that were either broken or of poor quality. Air conditioners were frequently noted as not working and some sofa beds were also reported to be broken. Front desk staff were allegedly rude and could speak minimal to no English. Depending on the day, the continental breakfast could range from stale cereal to cheap toaster waffles, fake orange juice and canned fruit, according to unimpressed guests.
