Modern and well-appointed apartments in the centre of Budapest are the order of the day at the K9 Residence which includes a 24-hour reception desk among other services. Both studio and two-bedroom apartments are available, all including air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, satellite television, bed linen and towels. The kitchenette/kitchen areas are all provided with a fridge, stove, microwave and kettle and there are separate dining and living areas. Bathrooms are all ensuite with showers. Private parking is available at K9 Residence at a fee as are airport pickups, babysitting and laundry services. There are also elevators in the building for easy access to the eight storeys. The apartments are all self-catering. Deak Ferenc Square and its metro station are a few minutes’ walk away as are the National Museum and Astoria Square.
Even with the overall independence of the self-contained apartments, it is a nice touch for many guests to have such welcoming, attentive staff at the front desk at all times as well as the concierge and cleaning staff.
The convenience of the hotel’s location was certainly a winner with previous guests who enjoyed being able to walk to the river, major public squares, metro stations, restaurants and shops all in under ten minutes. The grocery store next door also made the self-catering setup of the apartments that much easier.
Many guests remark that the room sizes, facilities available and central location can’t get any better for the price which guests find very reasonable indeed.
Given the central and lively location, there can be some noise ingress from traffic and human noise out on the main streets. You may however request a room on one of the higher floors or keep your windows shut and make use of the air conditioning, for example.
The K9 Residence offers private vehicle parking on site, however an extra daily charge applies for the use of the parking lot. Some guests commented that they were caught by surprise with this.
A source of frustration for some guests is that the hotel does not take debt or credit card payments so you’ll need to make sure you have enough of the local currency to cover your room and any other costs for your stay.
