The staff are universally described as incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is a family-run hotel, and guests could definitely sense a different, and superior, atmosphere compared to that of an anonymous chain hotel.
Many guests compliment the hotel for retaining a real Spanish atmosphere in what is a foreign tourist hotspot. The bar downstairs is said to attract a lot of locals, and the no-nonsense, no frills nature of the hotel seemed refreshing to many guests.
Whatever their issues with the hotel, most guests seem to agree that it provided them with decent value. They paid budget prices for clean budget rooms in a fairly central position.
A few guests mentioned that when they switched on the TV the only language that could be made to emanate from it was Spanish. Those who could not understand Spanish were disappointed not to find anything they could watch.
