You're ten minutes' walk from Queen Street here, with over twenty wineries within a stroll of this chic Victorian property. The gourmet breakfasts are varied each day with both hot and cold dishes, and often served in three separate courses to offer unique taste experiences. Frittata, smoked salmon, fresh fruit salad and poached pears would be some examples you might find, with every bit of it home-made.

This is a very stylish accommodation with beautiful furnishings, kept immaculately clean. Comfortable beds and luxury Ralph Lauren and Laura Ashley linens. You can enjoy a leisurely glass of local wine in the evening while sitting on the huge veranda looking at the stars.

The owner will surpass your expectations. Her cooking is divine and her attention to detail cannot be topped. She's set up dinner reservations, wine tours or bike rentals - and don't be surprised if she hands you coupons for wine-tasting in town or free desserts at an area restaurant to boot.

Some rooms have excellent Wi-Fi; others not so much. .

The host, while a stellar cook and magnificent housekeeper, has a few strict rules in place. She does not care to prepare breakfast before or after a certain hour and she dislikes waiting for guests who need to arrive late. The meals are served with a formal presentation and always gourmet - even if the guest requests simple bacon and eggs. Make sure you don't tell her about your dietary restrictions last minute, either.

You'll need to leave your street shoes at the door and switch to slippers here. Some will love this; others will not.
