The short drive into Hyannis and proximity to the ferry, beaches, shopping mall and airport added up to convenience for most guests at the Hyannis Host Inn. The variety of nearby restaurants was also a plus.

The Hyannis area can be expensive and most guests said that the Hyannis Host Inn with its comfortable rooms and complimentary breakfast represented good value.

Friendly, kind and helpful were a few of the adjectives guests used to describe the hotel's management and staff and the accommodations also drew favorable comments. Some guests said that this combination of friendly faces at the front desk and relaxing rooms would be reason enough for them to make a return visit.

In the opinion of a few guests, the Hyannis Host Inn has definitely seen better days and is long overdue for some tender loving care. Rickety staircases to the upper rooms, missing security locks, lumpy beds, splintered wooden furniture, rust and noisy air conditioning units were among the problems reported. Some guests summed up the general state of the hotel as weary and a little rundown.

Non smoking rooms that smelled of stale smoke were reported by a number of guests, some said the drifting odor of cigarettes was pervasive throughout the hotel.
