Hotel Homewood Suites by Hilton Greenville (Greenville, USA)

The hotel is about 10-15 minutes from downtown Greenville when the traffic is good, and also close to the airport. There are many restaurants within a healthy walk, including a Cracker Barrel right next door, and plenty of big box shopping nearby.

Many guests enjoy the "homey" layout of the suites, which offer a separate sitting area and full kitchens with well stocked cupboards. The outdoor pool and basketball court are also much appreciated, though light sleepers do well to avoid rooms closest to the hoop.

With some notable exceptions, the front desk, kitchen, and housekeeping staff receive positive reviews for their pleasant and professional customer service.

Recent travellers have been disappointed in the overall quality of the breakfast buffet, noting long waits for items to be replenished, hot dishes served at a lukewarm temperature, and a generally unaccommodating attitude from some of the kitchen staff. Some guests have been let down by an unfriendly face at the front desk, too.

Nonsmoking guests forced to accept smoking rooms generally find the odour to be an issue. Though many arrive to find their rooms well cleaned, some describe the housekeeping as "hit and miss" throughout their stay, or have unfortunate oversights to report.

Fit travellers find the gym very small and limited in equipment for a hotel of its size. Some guests say the hallways and rooms could use an update, too, and describe a bit of noticeable wear in the carpets.
