The hotel has a great location for those guests who are on the move. It is just next to the airport and offers free shuttle service to and from. The Phoenix Light Rail system is just a few blocks away. The busy highways are an easy on and off and there is free parking.

If you're familiar with Hampton Inns, you'll be right at home here. This one is representative of a standard chain stay. The rooms are both clean and comfortable and are nicely furnished. The free hot breakfast is filling and there is a grab-and-go breakfast offered for those in a rush.

The reception staff is both professional and helpful. They take a personal interest in guest enjoyment and convenience. The check-in process is both efficient and polite and the shuttle driver goes out of the way to offer advice and be of an asset to guests.

When there are problems or issues, management is extremely slow to respond. Some problems are never personally addressed, even after repeated attempts to call or speak in person to management staff. Apologies are seldom offered for inconveniences and the guest rules, such as nonsmoking areas and quiet hours, are not always enforced.

This Hampton is an older inn and some rooms are starting to show signs of wear and tear. The carpets are stained and frayed and the bedding and linens are thin.

The staff here can be intrusive, rather than a hidden feature. Rooms are often double booked, leading to multiple keys for the same rooms and unwelcome doors being opened at all hours of night. The housekeeping staff also starts their day really early.
