Drivers appreciate the hotel's location, noting the hotel is easily accessible from I-95 and within a a few minutes' drive of many area attractions, including the Mystic Aquarium and Seaport, the USS Nautilus Submarine Force Museum in Groton, and the beaches of New London. The Mohegan Sun is a 20-minute drive, and the hotel also offers a shuttle to the casino.

Guests generally describe the rooms as very clean and well maintained, with comfortable beds. Many are happy to report a very quiet night, despite the nearby freeway, and also enjoy waking up to the complimentary breakfast buffet. The hot and cold options include eggs, sausage, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, and much more. There is plenty of seating, and the cheerful wait staff work diligently to keep supply in step with demand.

The front desk staff have received many rave reviews for their friendly, informative, and professional customer service, with guests often commenting on their smiling faces and friendly conversation. The complimentary coffee and cookies in the lobby are also well appreciated.

Several guests were disappointed by cigarette odor in the hallways, or else found it wafting into their non-smoking rooms from the designated smoking area outside.
