Staff members at Hampton Inn are friendly and welcoming from the time guests arrive to the time they leave. They enjoy their jobs and making guests feel like they're right at home. Guests also reported that staff take the time to stop and talk to guests to ensure they are enjoying their stay and they have no problem providing suggestions on things to see and do.

This hotel is located near a main road that provides easy access to downtown Ottawa and many other points-of-interest. The area is easy to navigate and there are many restaurants, shops and attractions located nearby, some within walking distance.

The breakfast served each morning is large with plenty of fresh, healthy, delicious items available. Guests reported that there's a lot of variety, the portions are big and there are both hot and cold items available.

The rooms at Hampton Inn are in need of some work as a number of issues were reported including tattered furniture, old appliances that don't work well, a musty smell and uncomfortable beds. Guests also reported that the standard of cleanliness is low, towels are old and thin and there's mold in the bathrooms.

Guests reported that the walls are very thin because every sound coming from the corridors, other rooms and outside can be heard in the rooms. Loud conversations, doors slamming, road traffic, water running and footsteps are some of the sounds reported.

The pool area is not very well-maintained with guests reporting that there's a lot of slime and dirt floating around the edges of the pool and the floor around it is dangerously slippery. Guests also reported that the water in the hot tub is often below what it should be.
