Hotel Granduomo Charming Accommodation (Florence, Italy)

If you can afford it, they would encourage you to upgrade to the deluxe apartments with balconies, as they are worth every extra penny. You can sit out and admire such an iconic view from your prime vantage point whilst taking in the buzz from the Piazza below.

You're not just paying for a room with a view, the accommodation is well worth the price you pay - some might even argue that it is a steal. The furniture is elegant, the beds are luxurious and extremely comfortable and the apartment is extremely well equipped. You don't even have to worry about getting basic provisions in or about breakfast - it is all provided. Guests vow they wouldn't stay anywhere else in Florence, and lots do return.

Even though it is a relatively small place, guests will tell you that the staff are very professional and offer a high class service.

If you want to have such imposing views of the Duomo, you'll have to be prepared for the imposing sound of its bells too. Not only that, guests will tell you that the Piazza can get quite noisy with lots of crowds and late night revellers.

Although a minor nuisance for many, rather than a big issue, the Wi-Fi is not very stable. It is often quite slow or drops completely, which may be a problem if you absolutely need to be online.

Whilst it is great to have a front desk for such a small collection of apartments, don't expect round the clock service. Guests say the staff are there until early evening at the latest.
