Hotel Golf Campoamor (Orihuela, Spain)

Though it seems most guests were not in fact golfers, those who were described the courses as very nice, and with green fees that didn't break the bank. Of course, having them so close was a major benefit as well.

Several guests mentioned that their room had lovely views over the golf courses. They were said to be kept in excellent shape and guests had the benefit of enjoying what the course designers and the groundskeepers had created.

Again and again guests mentioned that the staff really were a credit to the hotel. They were said to be unfailingly polite, and seemed to deal with any query or issue guests brought up with a professional and understanding attitude.

One had to look long and hard before finding a good word written about the breakfast. It seems that it is not considered the most important meal of the day at Golf Campoamor, or important at all. Guests described it as a lacklustre affair, seemingly conducted just to be able to tick “breakfast” off a checklist.

Though the hotel is in a very quiet spot, and so does not receive noise from outside, a number of guests mentioned being disturbed by noise from adjacent rooms. It seems that the quality of your sleep may come down to whether you have considerate neighbours or those who like to party.

Though only mentioned a few times, it seems some of the leisure facilities may become unavailable from time to time due to being booked by visiting sports teams. Guests were naturally unhappy that an advertised amenity was not available to them.
