The hotel has several pools for you to enjoy, including a ‘quiet’ pool and a pool with a swim-up bar. There are many floating mats for you to enjoy when you’re in the pool, too.

Excellence Riviera Cancun requests that you don’t reserve loungers, because there are so many available. In fact, in the middle of the day, there are usually enough still free – you can switch your spot if you want.

There are several restaurants located in the complex, allowing you to have a few different options to pick from. Each restaurant is different, with a huge variety of foods and cuisines available.

Can Get Pretty Crowded.

The hotel gets packed pretty quick, especially at the pool. And, since the main pool has a swim-up bar, the place gets noisy, too. A lot of people like to hang out here, particularly because of activities. Consequently, you might have to fight the crowd.

Because certain areas can get pretty crowded, the hotel staff has trouble keeping up with all the demands. There may only be one bartender for a crowded area, so you may have to wait.

The guesthouse is about 30 minutes away from Cancun, which means you will have to travel a distance to get there. If you want to explore restaurants or shops, it’ll take you a bit.
