The Equinox Resort is located at the northern end of the Gold Coast, just 150 metres walk from the Main beach. Apartments include full kitchens, a flat screen TV and private balconies. Each apartment also has it's own laundry facilities. The Equinox Resort boast a gorgeous outdoor pool complete with its own sun deck and lounges for guest use. After a swim, guests may wish to play a game of tennis or work out at the on-site gym, then relax in the eight person sauna or steam room. The kids will love the air hockey tables in the kids' recreation room. If guests do not feel like cooking in their apartment, there are number of popular local cafes nearby such as Koastal Kitchen and the Ocean Avenue Bar and Cafe to try. The Equinox Resort is a short 25 minute walk to the SkyPoint Observation Deck and the closest theme park is SeaWorld, which is a 15 minute car ride from the hotel.
Many guests were taken a-back by the views that they enjoyed from their balconies at this hotel, so much so that their reviews glowed about how stunning the views were and they encouraged future guests to make sure they request a high floor on reservation, to take the best advantage of the views.
There are a range of things to keep guests amused at the hotel from pools to tennis courts and a number of visitors left positive comments about how well maintained the amenities were, describing the good times that they had using them.
The hotel is close to Cavill Avenue and popular local restaurants, bars and nightclubs and guests commented that they could access everything that they needed within walking distance of the hotel, which was the highlight of their stay.
Guests who assumed that their units would be air conditioned, as standard for most hotels on the Gold Coast, were disappointed to find that they were not. Guests suggested that management of the hotel could encourge apartment owners to stop being stingy and put in air conditioning!
Guests who stayed for an extended period of time at the hotel were less than impressed by the standard of housekeeping and were shocked to find that there was no consistent daily housekeeping service and that their sheets were not changed daily or in some cases after three to five days.
Guests were disappointed to find a number of broken fixtures and fittings in their apartment, from door handles and light switches to TV remotes; commenting that for the price paid for the room the maintenance of these items could have been better.
