Hotel Econo Lodge Eureka Springs (Eureka Springs, USA)

The hotel is fine for what you pay. It's not a four or five star, in fact it's not even a three star by some standards, but it will do. You won't find a lot of amenities; however, if you only need a place to lay your head, this is the place for you.

The central location of the hotel is very convenient and very close to the old downtown district. It's located on a main strip in Eureka with easy access to everything. The trolley stops right at the driveway of the hotel as well.

The breakfast is nothing fancy, but it's just enough to get you going for the day. You have a choice of bagels, waffles, cereal, but not much more than that. There are no eggs or meat, but it's not unusual for a continental breakfast.

There's quite a lot of traffic noise if you stay in the front building. The motel is at the intersection of two main roads so the noise can be deafening. If you have a room right near a balcony, don't be surprised to hear plenty of loud chatter, doors banging, kids screaming, the whole-nine-yards.

Lots of motorcyclists stay at this facility, which adds to the noise level. The bikers aren't really a nuisance, but the scene may appear intimidating, and it surely doesn't have a family friendly vibe.

This may or may not be your experience, but it seems that it is not uncommon. The staff agree to things that never happen, they just don't come through. For example, if something doesn't work, you will be promised a replacement or it will be fixed, but it doesn't happen. Another thing, the mattresses are worn out. You can even feel the coils in them. This also seems to be a common issue at the facility.
