The Hotel Duna Beach Bungalows complex in the Maspalomas area of Gran Canaria includes restaurants, bars and shops.  It is an easy thirty minute transfer from Las Palmas Airport. Modern bungalows at Duna Beach have a terrace or garden, bedroom and combined kitchen and living area, plus colour satellite television, hairdryer and minibar. Communal facilities include adult and children’s swimming pools (plus playground), pool, table tennis and tennis.  There is day and night reception cover. A handy supermarket is also onsite with a further option at Hiper Dino within the Faro 2 shopping centre. Nearby, the Time, El Churrasco and Donosti restaurants are popular favourites and for drinking, so is Paddy’s Bar in Maspalomas. Holiday World and Ocean Park are enjoyable days out.  Other favourite activities include camel rides across the dunes. The main centre for nightlife is a short taxi journey away in Playa del Ingles.

Excellent bungalow facilities.

Bungalows are kept in good order and are cleaned most days of the week. They are also well equipped and contain virtually everything needed by the self caterer.

It’s actually in Maspalomas itself but you’ll probably opt for a cheap taxi rather than walking to the centre and the beach. The pool is enormous! It really is ideally located, because if you want to hit the night life, the Yumbo Centre in Playa del Ingle

Reliant on taxis.

It’s a bit of a long hike to the beach and to Playa del Ingles. Taxis are dirt cheap but the cost mounts up over the period of a holiday.

‘And so to bed’.

Not likely! They must have got this lot from a firm that specialises in hard, lumpy and uncomfortable beds. Sweet dreams are unlikely on these things.

Twiddling thumbs in Campo de Golf.

Great for some but, there’s not much to actually do here. Plus, there are no short cuts to the beach. In that respect, it’s a rotten location because it’s a good half hour trek to the beach.
