At first glance, everything appears to be well cleaned and maintained. The room is good and the overall cost represents good value. There are a number of pleasing additions here and the toaster is a real breakfast ‘boon'.
Owners/management couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. It's a pleasure to deal with them.
There are a number of family attractions in the vicinity and the shopping centre is also nearby.
The Wi-Fi only really works in the reception area. It's useless in the room itself. Some beds need replacing urgently. Springs coming through the mattress are not acceptable. TV ‘remotes' need replacing. One doesn't work and the supplied replacement isn't fit for purpose either!
There's only a tiny air-conditioning unit to cope with the heat in the entire room. Obviously, you're out during the day so the problem isn't apparent. At night, though, the heat problem is intense. The introduction of ceiling fans would at least help a bit. At the other extreme, shower water is consistently cold - although, if you eventually freeze to death, there is a funeral parlour a few doors down! Another way to sustain serious injury is to fall from a top bunk bed - there is no safety rail.
This place has three stars … but you can see more at night as the result of ill-fitting curtains! There's lots of mould in the bathroom but no bedside lamps or towel rails. The refrigerator sounds as if it's about to take off! It's very inconvenient for guests to find that the office is consistently late in opening - so guests must wait in order to recoup ‘their' key deposit.
