Close to plenty of dining, entertainment and shopping, including the Hanes Mall. Great for those visiting Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University within less than a mile.The outdoor pool is refreshing during warmer months and set back from the main road well enough to ensure a quiet night's sleep. The Bistro serves a simple but tasty breakfast and dinner on-site, there's a handy market for to-go items and you can also make coffee or tea in your room.

These rooms are large with cozy beds and a choice of pillows and refrigerators. The free Wi-Fi is adequate for the basics like checking email, and you can upgrade to a faster speed as well.

The check-in process is smooth and quick and the front desk staff is cheerful and informative. Event catering is flawless and return guests are greeted by name.

The interior has seen renovations, but the exterior is still waiting. Some areas smell musty and are poorly lit. Rooms don't have microwaves which most modern hotels provide. You may be charged for incoming and/or outgoing phone calls too, so get clarity beforehand.

You may see a few visible spider webs and some fixtures are cracked or worn in need of repair. Other areas were obviously dusty or dirty, missed by housekeeping entirely.

Slightly disorganized breakfast attendants make for a confusing morning. Get there early. You will also likely need to pay for breakfast as it isn't included with most bookings.
