Hotel Courtyard by Marriott Rochester Brighton (Rochester, USA)

The staff are a lovely group. They are helpful with directions and suggestions for nice places to eat. They are also quite attentive, but not exceptional.

The hotel has a pleasant lobby with semi-private areas for quaint chats. There is a nice indoor heated swimming pool and jacuzzi tub that you can have access to during later hours. The rooms are fairly comfortable with modern décor. Rooms are sufficiently clean and fresh and provide lots of space. The beds are quite comfortable as well. Overall, the hotel is in good taste.

The location is not bad. It's not very close to the downtown area; however, there are enough restaurants in the area and shopping to give you something to do in the area.

If the hotel added this popular feature, it would increase its standard and ranking immediately. Breakfast is a staple and should be included in the price. However, it's not enough to cause visitors not to return, it's simply a beneficial feature.

Free Wi-Fi is advertised but there is a twist, it's exceedingly slow and freezes. If you want a higher speed you have to pay for an upgrade. It's seems a wee bit dishonest for the most part.

It's obvious that the hotel is an older property with a courtyard in the middle with the room balconies surrounding the courtyard. However, this means you will have a long walk to your room as well. Though the interior has been clearly updated, they have left things like old carpeting which can be distracting.
