All members of staff seem to be friendly at all times and are extremely helpful. They’ll happily provide all the info you need to find your way round and best value shops, restaurants etc; to visit.  There’s lots to see within a short drive. A short cruise, though, is a wonderful way to see the famous wild horses.

Rooms are very clean. Those nearer the center of the building have the best water views. Maybe a bit dated, but rooms are at least clean. So too are the communal areas, including the pool. Very impressive.

Breakfast is good, well presented and plentiful. The make your own waffle machine is a wow with the kids! Adults tend to favour the late afternoon wine and cheese sessions.

It’s a fairly recent concept, presumably created because closet doors take up space when opening and closing them – so scrap them completely. The downside is that rooms then look untidy and any dust that’s floating about gets on to clothing too.

The pool is good, but very small. It is not administered at all and irresponsible parents have a free run to let their unruly kids do whatever they want. Not only is this very noisy but it has potential to become dangerous. The TV is small too and rather on the elderly side. Beds are extremely uncomfortable.

Whispering to each other and smirking, rather than fulfilling the roles they are paid for; members of the breakfast staff make for an uncomfortable meal and encourage a combined guest vow to stay somewhere else next time.
