Hotel Columbus (Florence, Italy)

The staff members are thought to be nice and friendly to most guests, some knew and spoke good English. They were able to help guests with directions and any kind of queries they might have. They were nice to talk to.

The hotel is located away from the city centre and therefore away from the city and tourist crowds of Florence. Many guests appreciated this and did not mind walking about fifteen minutes to the central area. They could also take a bus line that goes to the city.

The rooms were found to be clean by most guests, who thought the rooms had the basics of clean and comfortable covered nicely. The housekeeping did a good job of cleaning daily.

The cars outside and the people in other rooms were found to be noisy to the point of disturbing some guests. Some guests would have preferred to have more sound isolation in their accommodations, as they could hear many noises.

Some guests felt bad the hotel was in a poor state when they stayed there. The rooms were in dire need of refurbishments and basic maintenance. Simple things like a shower curtain and a working air-conditioning would help.

Many guests were disappointed with the boring breakfast they were offered at the hotel. They mention is it only a couple of items like coffee/tea and bread and regretted eating there in the first place. They would have enjoyed a much more varied breakfast worth the price.
