The highly central location of this hotel is almost a reason in itself to make a booking here. For sure, you'll find all of the CBD's must-see sights such as Clarke Quay, Fort Canning Park, the Colonial District and the Merlion Statue all within a very easy stroll, plus you're surrounded on all sides by more shops, restaurants and entertainment venues than you can shake a stick at. Having a metro stop so close by (Clarke Quay; three minutes walk) tops things off perfectly.

It seems all of the infectiously friendly employees working at this hotel cannot help but be supremely helpful. Truly, it is the case that the team here, from the receptionists to the cleaning ladies and everyone in between radiates an enthusiasm for their job which most guests find as surprising as they do refreshing. Wonderful hospitality all-round.

Having a rooftop pool on hand in such an uncomfortably humid city as Singapore (it sits right on the equator) helped guests stay cool and relaxed on their vacations.

It has to be said that the accommodations here really are very compact indeed. If you're travelling by yourself then you may just be able to deal with it. If you're travelling as a pair or couple then you may face issues with space.

The bathrooms within the accommodations aren't in separate rooms; they're in enclosed compartments behind frosted glass facades. This means that you can't help but hear what your travel companions are doing during their ablutions.

The breakfast cafe has a grand total of six tables. Guests can expect a que on most days.
