Churchtown House is a large and spacious 18th Century historic Country Guesthouse situated in unspoilt countryside in Ireland’s “sunny south east” just 4.5km from Rosslare Harbour Europort served by Stena Line and Irish Ferries, 15km from the historic town of Wexford, under 2 hour’s drive from central Dublin, 2.5 hours' drive from Cork and less than an hour’s drive from Waterford – home of the world famous Waterford Glass. Set in over 8 acres of mature parkland the house provides accommodation comfortably for up to 23 guests. Built Circa 1703, the house was associated with some of Wexford’s most powerful families, most notably the Herron Family whose son John Herron was exiled and later became one of Napoleon’s favourite generals. Churchtown House has been restored to it’s former glory mixing traditional elegance with country house charm. Large elegant reception rooms, roaring fires and quiet reading rooms add to the atmosphere and this combined with walks in the 8 acres of parkland make Churchtown house a haven of peace and tranquillity. All of the individual, spacious bedrooms have en suite facilities and are equipped with flat screen TV’s and tea/coffee making equipment.
