More cafes, bars and restaurants can be found a stroll away in nearby central Launceston. Also, there is a supermarket just two-minutes’ walk away. From the outside, some guests were not expecting much from the hotel. However, once in their room they were pleasantly surprised. Rooms are modern and provide all you would want for your stay, with comfortable beds and pillows, a hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities which are replenished daily.
Guests like the location of this property. They say it is only a short walk to the centre of town, so it is not always necessary to drive. There is a good restaurant underneath and a supermarket open late just two-minutes' away for any supplies.
While some guests said that they rooms were nice and clean, others were not as impressed. Issues noted included finding rubbish from previous guests, dusty furniture, bathrooms generally needing cleaning and carpets not being vacuumed under the beds.
There is no air-conditioning at the hotel and some guests do find that the rooms get hot and stuffy. A fan is available from reception but if you are sensitive to the heat and air-conditioning is a must, this may not be the best choice for you.
With a busy main road outside, a restaurant underneath and a popular supermarket just opposite, it can sometimes be noisy around the hotel. Noise is particularly an issue from the passing road, mainly during the rush hours.
