Hotel Cannery Casino (North Las Vegas, USA)

The hotel offers everything that Las Vegas is known for without the bustle associated with The Strip, yet it is only a roughly 18-minute drive should you want to venture down there.

The hotel boasts several restaurants, which guests stated offered decent service and good food, and they especially enjoyed the on-site steakhouse.

Guests found the hotel to be budget-friendly and enjoyed the many amenities such as the casino, on-site parking, free coffee and the movie theater which features recliners and side tables.

Guests noted that the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke even that they were supposed to be non-smoking. Not only could previous guests have smoked in the rooms, but the rooms closer to the hallway seemed to have absorbed the smoke entering from the casino. They also felt that the rooms looked cheap and were in need of some attention, as there was mildew in the bathroom, the towels provided were worn and the sinks and tubs didn't drain sufficiently. Furthermore, the air-conditioners were old and therefore didn't produce a lot of output anymore.

Some guests felt that the immediate surroundings of the hotel weren't very inviting and a bit worrisome in their opinion. They also pointed out that there is no security between the hotel and the casino, so non-guests could easily gain access to the property. A few guests reported fraudulent charges on their credit card statement after they returned home.

Guests noted that the front-desk staff was friendly and efficient, but some of the security and wait staff didn't appear as professional.
