Hotel Brookside Lodge (Gatlinburg, USA)

Guests liked the hotel's location along Roaring Fork River with a trolley stop right across the street and ample shopping and dining options nearby, and it is only a short walk to Downtown Gatlinburg.

Guests found that the various amenities were quite useful and worth their money, since they could make use of the hotel's free Wi-Fi, two pools that included slides, a Jacuzzi, a children's pool, a gym and didn't have to worry about finding parking.

The rooms resemble cabins with their wooden paneling and rustic décor, and guests stated that it matched the surroundings. They especially liked the fact that the rooms included riverfront balconies, and many of them also had cozy fireplaces and convenient kitchenettes.

Several guests noted that the housekeeping staffed seemed to do a bit of a superficial job at times, since the beds weren't made, towels were not replaced even though wet and some areas simply weren't cleaned.

According to guests, the rooms appear quite dated and could use some modernizing. While the hotel has a rustic theme which works with the environment, some guest noted that the rooms' décor should be a bit more modern. They stated that the bathroom and kitchen seemed to have been installed in the 1970s and might never have been updated.

The breakfast area is dark due to the wood paneling and the insufficient lighting, and guests thought that the meal didn't provide enough variety, as there were often a couple of dishes to choose from such as bagels, cereal and biscuits and gravy.
