Hotel BreakFree Aanuka Beach Resort (Coffs Harbour, Australia)

The hotel is located on secluded Diggers Beach just outside Coffs Harbour and for many the secluded beach location, with absolute beach front access was the best feature of the hotel. Guests also commented how quiet this part of the coast was.

The resort has planned the buildings to blend into the environment and the thought that has obviously gone into the design of the hotel was not lost on the guests who commented that the layout was superb and that the lush tropical grounds had been well maintained.

A number of reviewers stayed here as part of or as invited wedding party guests. These guests positively reviewed the preparations made by the hotel's team for the nuptials commenting that the logistics went off without a hitch and the venue and food were fantastic.

Two common complaints across reviews that consistently popped up was that the Wi-Fi was not free and that it was expensive to access and that the prepared breakfast was average with limited menu and lack of tasty items.

A number of guests had issues accessing their rooms due to the multiple sets of keys provided to get in and out of the resort. Management provide the keys for security reasons but for most guests who left comments, the number of keys were a hassle and excessive.

Guests who experienced the results of a lack of maintenance in their rooms were left a little disappointed by their stay at the hotel and did not leave positive reviews. Common bug-bears included lack of water pressure, front gate not working well and appliances which did not work properly.
