The location is really ideal. The hotel is close to the beach and near many restaurants and bars, but is still quiet and peaceful. There is lots of free parking around. Also, many beachside bars are within walking distance.
The food here is surprisingly good. It rises above the typical buffet fare and provides a good variety to the menu with lots of options. The breakfast is the best meal of the day and the hotel offers different inclusive options to suit every need.
Many of the units have either sea views or rooms facing the pool. The staff is both friendly and helpful. There is great cleaning by staff with a daily towel exchange and the rooms are spotless.
Not all the staff knows English and this can impair getting exactly the services and products needed, in the hotel or restaurant. The pool is quite small and surrounded by Astroturf. There are no common areas in the hotel and air conditioning seems to be at the whim of management.
The rooms don't match the nicer quality of the rest of the hotel. The beds and pillows are hard and uncomfortable and there are not enough electrical plugs for modern needs.
Some modern conveniences have hefty prices included. There is a daily charge for Wi-Fi service and even a charge to use the hotel Internet corner. There are charges for parking on the hotel property, even though the surrounding area has plenty of free parking available.
