Hotel Bigallo (Florence, Italy)

Many guests chose Hotel Bigallo because of its prime location. The hotel is right on Piazza del Duomo, which puts many major attractions such as Basilica of San Lorenzo and museums as well as several shops and restaurants within walking distance. It is also easy to find public transportation close by.

Previous guests were generally very happy with the customer service they received during their stay at Hotel Bigallo. The employees were friendly and personable, without sacrificing professionalism.

Many reviews paid compliment to the housekeeping staff. They keep all the guest rooms and the common areas of the hotel sparkling.

Though some of their rooms feature magnificent views of the plaza, others only face the rear side of a neighboring building and consequently could be rather dark. Previous guests who stayed in those rooms were quite disappointed, and recommend travellers request a room with a view.

While very few guests complained that the breakfast was bad, many noted that they would have preferred a wider selection of items. Several also noted that the buffet was the same each day, and those that stayed for several nights would have preferred something different.

The hotel does charge a small fee for internet connectivity in the room, a policy which some travellers found outdated. Reviews also noted that only one device could be used at a time, and that the connection was quite poor.
