Hotel Best Western Alamo Suites Downtown (San Antonio, USA)

The hotel is only one mile from the Riverwalk and within easy walking distance of the Market Square. Those guests preferring to drive appreciated the fact that they could pull their cars out as often as they wanted without being charged in-and-out fees.

The hotel provides free breakfast every morning, which includes items such as pastries, bread, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, waffles and hard boiled eggs as well as coffee, milk and juice.

Between the pleasant front-desk staff and the spacious rooms with great amenities, guests reported feeling quite comfortable at the hotel. The rooms come with a microwave, a refrigerator and ample seating, and any special requests were quickly fulfilled.

Some guests found the rooms to be in need updating, as they reported musty old carpets, stained couches and weathered paint jobs.

Guests noted that the rooms lacked adequate soundproofing, as you can hear foot traffic in the hallways and conversations next door. Exterior noise came in from the dog boarding kennel across the street, and guests also reported hearing the trains at night.

A few guests reported that the bathroom floors were sticky, the toilets stained and the bath tubs moldy. They also found the sheets to be clean but permanently stained and old and the furniture to be dirty, which suggested more of a superficial than a thorough cleaning had been done.
