Hotel Banana (Playa del Carmen, Mexico)

This hotel sits only two blocks away from Playa Mamitas Beach. You'll get to the beach within minutes, too. Either, there are plenty of buses in the nearby so you can explore the city hustle-free. The airport is within close vicinity, and there's a tonne of shops, bars, and restaurants in the area.

Whether you need extra information, or you need to rent beach towels, umbrellas, or chairs, the staff is always there to accommodate you. And even though the hotel is relatively small, the rooms are equipped with everything necessary; they are also always maintained clean by housekeeping.

While the hotel is located on an exclusively pedestrian street and is close to local attractions, it is also far enough down the street so you can peace and quiet.

Of course these large, clean rooms are generally more than satisfying. However, some guests have noted the mattresses are a bit firm, which can be a major inconvenience when you're trying to get a good night's sleep.

While the hotel states it has free Wi-Fi in the rooms, the connection may not be stable. Just keep in mind there is a library at the premises, though, where all guests can easily access the Internet.

The pool here is rather small. And even it is cleaned every day, it could use cleaner water. Nevertheless, the beach located within a short walking distance and should cater to all of your swimming needs.
