You are never very far from all the shops, bars and restaurants that anyone could possibly want.

Tariffs are reasonable. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are on the spacious side and well equipped with refrigerator, microwave, heater/air conditioning unit and coffee maker. Everything works, so that's good. It's a pity that the hotel is let down by lack of cleaning procedures. It could be so much better for, really, very little effort and minimal cost.

Front desk members of staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are a stranger, there is no shortage of advice and information on where to visit and best value shops and restaurants; extremely helpful. Breakfast is included and really not bad. Dining Room is very pleasant.

Rooms leave a great deal to be desired. Cleaning standards are ‘sloppy'. The building is old … but old can still be clean!

The pool isn't very attractive. If this is the best they can do, they are probably well advised to scrap it.

Any attraction that Carson City has is well hidden. It has very limited appeal and is a major disappointment for the visitor. It might grow on you with time - but life is too short to test out the process. At the other end of the scale, the hotel's water supply is anything but a slow burner. Hot water in the shower is instant and blisteringly hot.
