Hotel Al Pozzo (Venice, Italy)

The owners of Al Pozzo have been described as extremely passionate, knowledgeable and kind. They pride themselves on offering their guests out of the ordinary recommendations from a true local's perspective.

The surrounding area has been described as a "mixed neighbourhood". Although there are tourists, as elsewhere in Venice, the immediate surroundings of the Al Pozzo also house many Venetian families. This results in a more relaxed vibe than in all-tourist areas, and also more authentic and enjoyable local restaurants and nightlife.

Despite being situated within walking distance of Venice's main attractions, and some great local restaurants and bars, the Al Pozzo is somewhat off the beaten track. As a result the rooms are remarkably quiet at night.

The B&B's Wi-Fi only works in the public areas. This can be a problem for guests who want the convenience of using their electronic devices to the fullest in their rooms.

In good weather breakfast is served on the delightful garden terrace. Poor weather, however, poses a bit of a problem since the breakfast is then served in the kitchen. This is very charming, however the room is too small to accommodate many guests at once. A possible solution would be to have breakfast served in your room, but this is not everyone's cup of tea.

Some guests have commented that the owners are not always available during check-in. While arrangements are made for access to the property, the lack of a personal check-in has caused some confusion and unnecessary stress among guests.
