Hotel 14 West Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, USA)

The guesthouse sits right behind the Pacific Coastal Highway, so guests can walk to the beach in less than two minutes and get to enjoy all the restaurants, shops and attractions that are located within a one-mile radius.

The apartments provide all the necessary amenities you could need, and guests loved the feeling of living in a true home, not a large-scale, impersonal hotel. They enjoyed the fully-equipped kitchenettes in the spacious apartments, and the electronic fireplaces were a hit.

With the hotel being located right off the Pacific Coastal Highway, it makes sense that most guests will bring their car, especially since that opens up a lot of possibilities to explore California. Guests very much appreciated the gated underground parking garage, which has plenty of space and is easy to access.

A few guests reported that the seating areas showed signs of wear and tear that should be addressed, as the fabric on the chairs and sofas was stained. Several guests also found the bath towels to be quite thin and some even had holes in them.

With the hotel's proximity to the highway, guests found that the rooms facing in that direction were quite noisy and recommended getting a room positioned away from the road. Another area of noise concern was inadequate soundproofing, as some guests were able to overhear conversations and footsteps from next-door guests.

Housekeeping only provides refresher service during your stay, and some guests would have loved to have been given new toiletries, which was not the case.
