The lodge is a short drive away from some of the popular beaches within the area and also across the road from numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. Guests were pleased to find a shopping mall on their doorstep as well as lots of grocery stores which was particularly handy as there is no restaurant on the premises.
The lodge is surrounded by gardens which feature colouful plants and mature trees. Guests enjoyed spending their time relaxing outside, either strolling across the lawns or soaking up the rays on the poolside loungers. The outdoor-pool was described as clean and being of decent size whilst guests were equally complimentary about the gym stating that it was well-appointed with up-to-date equipment.
Guests described the members of staff as approachable and friendly, always willing to offer advice as well as assist the guests with their various queries and requests. Many said that they felt well-looked after and at ease for the duration of their stay.
The lodge overlooks a busy street and guests whose rooms were located at the front of the building said that they could hear traffic noise which they described as quite intrusive. Guests were sometimes woken up by the sounds of the fire sirens as there is a fire station across the road.
Some of the guests objected to the rather tired looking and dated interiors as they said that the carpets and upholstery were quite tatty and in need of replacement.
The bathrooms have been described as quite small and cramped with guests objecting to having very little room to move around as well as lack of counter space where they could place their toiletries.
